“What Are You? An Interview with Artist Stephanie J. Williams”

This interview explores the stop-motion puppet animation “PINOY/PLOY.” With a focus on the artist’s animation of the Filipino balut (a fertilized egg), the interview opens a conversation about race, difference and food culture in the United States.

It is published in the Studio Museum in Harlem’s Fictions exhibition catalog.
