Black Odyssey

“Romare Bearden and a Collage of Self-Knowledge” discusses The Siren’s Song – a collage about human and otherworldly encounters from the perspective of the Black diaspora. This essay draws from research and community engagement with the traveling exhibition Romare Bearden: A Black Odyssey.

It is published in the book Self Knowledge: A History, by Oxford University Press.
