Can Photography Be Decolonial?

 

The essay β€œCan Photography Be Decolonial?” takes up the uses of photography as a tool for justice across the African diaspora. It highlights books on the topic by Jennifer Bajorek and Shawn Michelle Smith.

It was commissioned by Annette Joseph-Gabriel, former Editor of the Global Black History section of Public Books.
